दिया जल रहा है 

बीते बरसों की वादी में
घोर चुप छाई है
ठीक उसी तरह मुझे
तेरी पहचान है
चेहरा तेरा सज रहा है
दिया एक जल रहा है

टूटी हुईं यादों के
खण्डरों में घुमती हूँ
टूँटें हुए खेलों के
कँकड़ों को चूमती हूँ

होठों से लहू बह रहा है
दिया एक जल रहा है

दिया सलामत है
रौशनी सलामत है
ज़िन्दगी का यह धागा
आग से लिपटा हुआ है
दिया एक जल रहा है

In the valley of our past
          years shrouded in silence 
          I see a shadow cast
          your face is glowing
A lamp is burning

I wander through ruins 
          of the broken memories
          kissing shattered dice 
          of our broken games

          my lips are bleeding
A lamp is burning

I salute the lamp -
          may its light remain!
          a thread of life 
          is wrapped in its flame

ਘੋਰ ਚੁਪ ਚਾਨ ਹੈ
ਉਨ੍ਨ੍ਜੇ ਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਨ੍ਜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ
ਤੇਰੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ਹੈ

ਮੁੰਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਘਦਾ ਪਿਆ ਏ
ਦੀਵਾ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਪਿਆ ਏ

ਭੱਜ ਗਾਈਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਦੇ
ਖੰਡਰਾਂ 'ਚ ਘੁਮਦੀ ਆਂ
ਟੁੱਟ ਗਾਈਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ
ਕੰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਮਨੀਂ ਆਂ

ਹੋਠਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਵਗਦਾ ਪਿਆ ਏ
ਦੀਵਾ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਪਿਆ ਏ

ਦਿਆ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਹੈ!
ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਹੈ!
ਜਿੰਦੂ ਦਾ ਤੰਦ ਤਾਣ
